Hi guys. New blog - same out spelling mistakes.

Everyone enjoying the heat? We are melting. The heat is making us crazy. Well, maybe me crazy. We have little puddles of fur, formally our kitties, lying in various baskets.

Now my tendency in hot weather is to slouch down to the basement. But others seem to think it's a good idea to go someplace where you can get the bright sun reflecting off the ground in a multifractual blinding extravaganza.

So, not wanting to be the lame butt mama, we took a little holiday to the beach last saturday - in Alix. Where? Somewhere on the prairies, population 825. Has two lakes. Has a beach. Has a playground. Has a outhouse decorated with a fairyland scene.

So you know it was a huge hit with Smootch.

It was good. Windy. Birdie and I spent most of the time hanging out in the shade, out of the wind. Enjoying home made vegan ice cream. Yes, I have failed to marry a man of many talents.

All in all, I would say that Alix is an excellent place to hit the beach. Who knew?
